I remember when I was 20 that my dog - an animal that had so far been my best friend since the age of 6 - had died. And it didn't affect me, at first. Fast forward to a month later, in my Psychology class, I heard a dog bark. Turned out, I knew the dog, it was a seeing eye dog for my friend Jake, a Rottweiler. And when I heard this dog bark, all those memories of my baby just sprang forth like an unending flood. I start balling so hard that I had to tear out 3 pages of notes because I was balling so hard. I had to take the rest of the day off; and when I got back to my dorm room I was so inconsolable I couldn't even talk, just babble incoherently. I fell asleep holding a picture of my dog and woke up in a pool of my tears and sweat.

I have. When I was 13 I used to do a lot of parkour, well that's what my friends called it. So one day I thought I could make a 5.5m gap. I was on a 3 story building and I thought I could make it to the next one, I didn't. I hit the side of the building and I fell 3 stories, to what seemed to me, a painful death. I landed on my left side, puncturing my left lung, breaking all but one of my ribs, shattering my leg and part of my face. The next thing I remember, I woke up in the hospital 5 days later. I had a killer headache...
