  • Why does my Virgin Media router block my SSE ONZO energy monitor?

    1. Blocked onWindows Vista 32 bit laptop and a brand new Windows 8.1 64 bit desktop.

    2. Disabling router firewall allows program to work but exposes my non windows network devices to a risk I will not take

    3. Used to before August 2013 on Vista 32 OS laptop

    4. ONZO_uploader.exe is in the list of programs that are allowed to access the interenet

    5. ONZO device is supplied by SSE - as is the uploader software

    6. SSE say the router is not assigning the USB device an IP address

    7. Virgin say the issue is not theirs but the way the ONZO programme is trying to work

    8. Virging say SSE is the problem - SSE say Virgin is the problem - they will not talk to each other to solve the problem - I am piggy in the middle.

    9. All devices are uptodate with OS and device drivers
