Usually in parks and sometimes used in weddings...can't think of the word. Please help!

For those who are graphic designers, web designers or a combination of the both, do you regret your career choice or major? Regarding pay, unemployment, job satisfaction, etc...

Optionally:

-Where is it easier to get a job as such? Seattle/NY/LA or smaller cities?

-Is a BA as a Digital Arts major/IT minor a good combination?

Thanks! I'm currently interested in going down that path so I would love to hear about others' experiences.

I've had people tell me they prefer one or the other but I can't decide!

So I have a Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000; I've had it for 9 months or so and it hasn't caused me any problems, more or less.

But randomly today when I plugged the usb reciever into my laptop and tried to use it, the mouse movement wouldn't react on my screen. It's strange, because the green receiver light is on, my computer recognizes it, I've installed the intellipoint software and the laser on the mouse still reacts and lights up with movement.

I've restarted my system, replugged the mouse in and changed batteries, nothing's worked.

What to do?

I'm still in my first year of college, but I can't decide which one of the two careers I should head toward: A Systems Administrator or a Network Administrator?

Or list the pros and cons of each one. For example, which one is easier to handle? Which one has more job satisfaction? Which one is more in demand by employers? Which one is easier to study for? (easier degree?) Which one requires more experience?

D. Grayman: Does the anime plot differ much from the manga? And if so, would you say the anime or manga is better, in your opinion?

Also maybe a few details like is either one funnier, less violent, less/more romance, etc.?

Basically it looks like a ball of silver. But on the inside, there's a bunch of cuts, making it look like sparkly, crystallized stone. With a metallic coat over it, I guess. Any clues?

This is important, and really, REALLY frustrating.

For the past 3 months now, my Windows Automatic Updates won't work. I have about 13 important updates to install (including security) and yet every time I try to, it won't.

And let's say I want to download Live Messenger, or SP3, or Silverlight. I go to Microsoft's website, click "download" and I get: Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at download.microsoft.com. For EVERYTHING Microsoft related. Try it through IE and get the same thing.

I've been getting viruses because of the missed updates. I can't use Messenger anymore...can anyone help me!? Please!

(And I don't need links to anti-virus software...I've got almost all of them, trust me.)

So went out to buy a set of fake nails.

Right now I have decently long nails, but I was wondering if the fake nails will last longer if I don't clip them before applying? Or are the real nails better short before putting them on?

I'm looking to get a transmitter for my Zune to listen in the car. My friend says the reception quality is bad and not a good as aux or cassette input (My car has neither.)

But my question is does anyone get good quality reception for their mp3s? And do some FM transmitters get better reception than others?

While I know this isn't a safe method, would it be effective to use regular house bleach to whiten teeth? How long do you think it might take?

For the past 6 hours I've been feeling a painful tightness in my lungs/chest and the base of my throat. It hurts when I breathe, and especially when I cough or swallow. (Worsens slightly when I lay down.)

I'm a 17 year-old female at average weight; I'm never around people who smoke and neither do I. I don't suffer from anxiety either. (And I don't THINK it's heartburn...)

I was wondering if anyone is suffering the same problems/know the cause of this?

So about two weeks ago I developed a crush on a guy I didn't even really talk to much...so I ended up sitting near him in class and eventually talked to him once in a while. Soon I added him on myspace, and after talking for a while, told him that he should text me along with my number.

He texted me soon after, and we've been having a couple conversations a day (everyday) through texts.

The only problem is, that was the only time he's bothered to text me first. I've had to initiate the convo everytime since then. I've even waited a whole day today and he hasn't texted.

So I was wondering...does that mean he's not interested? I'm not really sure, because he seems to text a lot with people and with me, always seems to reply to everything I say so he's mostly the last to say anything.

Or have I just not given it enough time? (The two weeks since I got to know him.)

Really need advice on what to do.

I just installed Thunderbird and love that it checks for new mail so I can get notifications as soon as I receive it.

The only problem is that I can only seem to get them while Thunderbird is open, and it uses a lot of memory.

So I was wondering if it could work quietly in the background and still let me know if I new e-mail?

Are there any extensions for that?

Alright. So I'm a Junior, and I really like this Senior in high school.

I finally found enough courage to get my senior friend to talk to him (and telling him this girl likes him) and I'm going to meet him after school in a couple of days, maybe for about 10 minutes.

He's not in any of my classes, and I doubt he even knows who I am.

Overall, he's easygoing, nice, but more of a listener.

My problem is: What the heck am I going to say/do?

I'm thinking I should say that I want to get to know him better and give him my number or something, but how should I do this? And what should the first thing I say after the awkward, "Hi."?

We have two computers in the house. One uses a modem (this one) and the other uses a wireless router that depends on the modem.

Just until yesterday, the computer using the wireless router's internet worked poorly (slow, lagging) but still worked. Since later yesterday, it just stopped working completely. The computer with the modem is still fine.

Here's the strange part. I made sure the router was plugged in properly, and looked at the router's program on the computer. The internet connection bar is around 60~70%. The link bar is the same. As fully connected as any other day.

I go to Netscape, Firefox, or IE- and it says it can't find Yahoo, Netscape, Google, etc.

...It won't connect to the internet.

Check the program again while the browser is still open, and it still says the connection is full.

I just don't get it. Anyone have an idea?

For example, someone named "Apple", or "Cocoa" but more common ones.

I know there's a few, but I can't seem to come up with any.

You can't see it, but I can feel this semi-sharp bone sticking out of my hand, and it's been there for about 3 years. But just recently, I can feel it better than before, and it hurts, especially when I'm carrying something. So anyway, does anyone have the link to a site where you enter a band/artist name into a search box, and you get a whole web of different bands, related sound/genre wise? It looks flash based, but I'm not sure.

Last time I saw it was 2-3 years ago.
