  • Why do Real ID applications not go through?

I applied for Real ID in the past, but when I got my photo taken, they would tell me that it would come in the mail within two months. After that point, I call my DMV and they tell me that the DMV didn’t receive my application even though I did. What is happening?!

Who or what gave people the right to change lanes at the last minute?

Scenario: I was crossing the street and none of the cars were in the right turn lane. As I was halfway into the crosswalk, the car in the back decides to change lanes to the right-turn lane at the last minute as if she doesn't notice pedestrians.

I have an example of an intersection and the red lines pretend that the black car (circled in red) turns into the right-turn lane at the last second instead of doing so at least 200 feet beforehand. Example of bad driving.

  • Why is it hard to be mature?

I mean, EVERYTHING one does shouldn't be judged on maturity, nor be warranted as mature or immature. We all grow up differently.

  • What will happen if behavior never existed?

People say that maturity is not about how big or small one person is. It's also about how one behaves. My thought is if behavior never existed, it would have been a different world.

  • What does it mean if we "go from there"?

This was taken from a June 2011 story about implementing drug dogs at a nearby high school. Story: https://patch.com/california/hermosabeach/drug-dog...

The student board member was concerned about the dog's power of smell, asking if it is safe to solely check the lockers. The assistant superintendent joked "maybe", reasoning that the school needs new lockers for this reason. However, he notes that when the school and police find drugs in a locker, they investigate. The school resource officer describes that "they will talk to the student who supposedly had the locker and go from there".
