Law enforcement officers, which to you prefer at traffic stops?
When pulling vehicles over, do you prefer the occupant wait until you approach and you can watch them reach for their drivers license and registration? Or do you prefer they have all that in hand ready to go? I ask because I always felt it made the officer/deputy nervous to see the occupant routing around and moving in the car before they walk up.
2 個解答Law Enforcement & Police3 年前Kelly Marie Tran, abused to the point of deleting her social media?
Why? I can understand not liking her performance or even her role in the film. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I myself didn't really like the character but I did like her performance. What I don't understand is hating on her so much that you heap abuse on her? She was hired for a job and did the job to the best of her ability.

Because of my schedule at work I am often off at night but go in early, early mornings. So I am often "asked" to watch her 4 year old. However, I have very little free time to myself and cherish it. She is not a bad girl at all, she just demands my attention at all times and I just want to relax.
Humanity, are we too far gone to save?
Human society I feel is quickly reaching a point where I believe we will no longer be worth saving. We are capable of such beautiful things, such awe inspiring acts of kindness and yet I see that depths to which humanity has fallen in the past and continues to fall in the present. Such hatred for others based solely on their gender, beliefs, looks, religion, sexual orientation. Its difficult for me to see a solution, how humanity can pull its act together before it it self destructs or worse...continues to destroy this planet and then dies out. What can be done? How can we as a society bring about change?
12 個解答Religion & Spirituality8 年前Observing what I believe is criminal behavior?
I live in a large apartment complex and directly across from the seldom used tennis court. Recently very late at night I have observed a group of males use the tennis court to play various games and make noise. I can only assume that his behavior was reported to the Apartment Managers as a chain and lock was placed on the chain link door to the court. Tonight around 9:30pm my brother and I noted the courts bright lights were on and poked our heads out to see what was going on. We observed two males attempting to remove the chain or lock with a pair of pliers for several minutes. Now, while I don't see this necessarily as criminal behavior per say, its obvious that the company that runs the apartments does not want anyone on the tennis court for whatever reason and nothing says "stay out" like a chain and lock. So, these individuals are displaying their willingness to destroy property that is not theirs to get what they want. In a sense I see this as a precursor to more excessive behavior. What is to stop them from breaking into cars or even apartments. I don't even know if these persons live in my complex. Should I call the police if I see this again? That is my rather long winded question.
1 個解答Law Enforcement & Police1 十年前Bill paying and behavior?
I work for a large phone company in a technical support position. Many times a customer will call about and ask why a specific feature like voicemail is not working. When looking over the account I then notice a bill exceeding $400. Now, because of the outstanding balance features are removed but their phone service is still functional. Obviously the customers first thought is a technical problem, but when I inform them that that reason the feature is not working is because they owe the company hundreds of dollars the person gets offended. My thought is this "If I haven't paid my phone bill in months and I lose certain features because of this...why am I surprised?" If I don't pay my cable bill and it gets turned off I don't call the cable company and ask "Why is my cable shut off?" I know why, because I haven't paid my bill.
3 個解答Psychology1 十年前What compells people to be so rude and mean spirited to complete strangers?
I work technical support, which requires alot of customer service. Now, I enjoy my job and love speaking with customer. Many are lovely people and roll with the punches when some error has occured. But there are those that are just down right nasty and for no apparant reason. Do you think this is because we're speaking on the phone and not face to face? Do you think its because in their lives they have to bow down to others and use this as a chance to "vent"? Have you ever behaved badly to someone without any real provocation?
6 個解答Other - Society & Culture1 十年前Does it disturb you when the News tries to frighten you into watching it?
I've noticed for quite sometime that many of my local television news stations tend to have commercials that are meant to sensationalize or frighten you so that you will watch their broadcast. They use statements like "How your children could be kidnapped right now."
"Someone could be ripping you off right now."
"What your children are doing that could kill them right now."
Now these statements I wrote are made up but often I feel that its almost as if I am being bullied into watching a particular news broadcast and that my children's very lives could be lost if I didn't watch that news broadcast. Am I alone in my feelings about these inflammatory news commecials?

I feel this way quite a bit lately, I don't see my life improving in any meaningful way regardless of the actions I take. I can't talk about my feelings with anyone as I am afraid I will then just be labeled as another depressed cry baby.
3 個解答Psychology1 十年前Jonah Hill in Superbad?
I watched the film tonight and it was hilarious. What caught my eye was a rather nasty looking scar on if I recall correctly Jonah Hill's left arm near the elbow. It looks amost as though some of the muscle tissue there was missing from the injury. I've looked around the net and can't find anything in regard to it.
5 個解答Movies1 十年前I don't understand?
I work Technical Support for a large telecommunications company. Part of my job involves me verifying who I am speaking to so that I do not release customers private information. That being said WHY would somone who is not the account holder call up, state they are the account holder when they are not and proceed to get upset when they cannot verify they are who they are pretending to be only to at the last moment admit they they are not the actual person. WHY? I've had grandsons say they are their grandmothers, I've had daughters say they are their father and each one has been upset when I've told them I can't help them. What do they expect? Oh sure your names Aaron A Aaronson...ok your needing your Bank Account Pin code changed...sure I'll do that for you right now. Verification? No we don't need that we'll take your word for it! Hmmmm..in a perfect world maybe.
12 個解答Etiquette1 十年前What should I do?
My brother and I share a one bedroom apartment. He has the bedroom and I sleep in the living room. Which is also where my computer is and the television aswell. Here is the trouble. He tends to fall asleep on the couch (the man can fall asleep in 10 seconds flat and often does) and he snores! I am talking about sawing wood here, which is distracting when I am trying to watch television or work on my computer. Now I know if we had a 2 bedroom place it would be a problem but we don't. I wake him up constantly and tell him to shut up and just go sleep in his bed but he merely grins at me or gives a little laugh and falls immediately back to sleep and a moments later he's snoring again. Now, if your suggestions involve violence or something disgusting "JOG ON" and don't bother responding. What can I do, he's told me to tell him what he's doing and he'll go to bed. But he does not and infact gets angry now when I tell him he's snoring.

3 個解答Baseball1 十年前Is it ok to run people over with your vehicle?
Let me be more specific. When driving through various parking lots quite often someone will want to pass in front of my automobile and while thats not the problem. Its those folk who adhere to the "Pedestrian Has the Right of Way" doctrine a bit too much. So much so that they barely pay my several thousand pound automobile any mind, not looking both way before crossing the street and then have the sense to move s l o w l y across the street...deliberately slow as though to say "Screw You." Now this breech of the "You don't do anything stupid and I won't run you down with my vehicle" agreement betweeen peds and drivers...does that apply to these circumstances? I am not speaking of those people with obvious disabilites am talking about those morons who go out of their way to make you wait for them to cross the street at such a slow pace as to think that snails might rush ahead of them. Do they deserve to be crushed?

Ok, I work in a large corporate office building with ample bathrooms for all its employees. However, my issue is this. Those that do not FLUSH the toilets. Bathrooms are already quite disgusting, is there a reason why the toilet cannot be flushed? Oh..you don't want to touch the handle..ok well use your foot then...oh..your barefoot...ok...well then touching the handle is the least of your problems if your barefoot in a public restroom.
