Question about my Dog can you give me ideas?
I have a relatively small 7 yr old Chi-weenie. She has had very runny poop the last few weeks and I can't determine why. Same food, no real changes. Any ideas? Should I be concerned?
4 個解答Dogs6 年前So much for religious ppl being more righteous so this study/paper concludes. What do you think of it?
So much for religious people being more righteous than non-believers.
Sure-to-be-controversial new research shows that religious and non-religious people are equally likely to misbehave. The only difference between the groups is that religious people show stronger emotional reactions to moral and immoral deeds.
“To our knowledge, it’s the first study that directly assesses how morality plays out in people’s everyday lived experience,” Dr. Linda Skitka, a psychologist at the University of Illinois at Chicago and the co-author of a paper describing the research, said in a written statement.
For the study, the researchers recruited 1,252 men and women between the ages of 18 and 68. The study participants, all of whom were from the U.S. or Canada, completed an initial survey to indicate their level of religiosity -- from "not at all" to "very much." The survey also showed where the men and women fell on the political spectrum, from "very liberal" to "very conservative."

I'm married 27 yrs to same man (good guy!) have 4 grown children and don't feel satisfied with our "love" life, intimacy, affection
having been the initiator for all these years I just DON'T WANT TO be the only one who starts things anymore. IS that expecting too much given our 27 yr pattern or should I expect him to start & give more for me now? Your perspectives appreciated.

I'm out of refills, have no insurance and did wean myself a bit as I was running low on my prescription to help when I was OUT...but I'm having panic attacks at night, am very edgy, impatient, frustrated and irritable. WILL this taper off if I decide to try and just NOT get this medication again? If there was something over the counter I could take I would try it.... ANY help out there?

on berating, criticizing, demeaning and trying to convince others how WRONG someone else's church or beliefs are? Even going so far as to have their own "SHOW" on youtube trying to make themselves a celebrity of sorts. I saw one such yesterday....really is upsetting to me. The underlying MOTIVES of such a thing seems so clearly malicious and hateful. I don't get such people and those who BELIEVE such either. Your views?

then CHOOSE only the 'best' answer that is the LEAST ACTUAL or serious answer that is just blatantly WRONG or nonsense? I suppose I actually take them 'seriously' when in reality they are just sparring, trolling or contending with people of FAITH. I just don't get such mentality myself..sorry! SO I know - go at it - Attack me for this one too! :(

Heck we could nearly balance the National Budget if we indicted every politician in WA or the Country who misused government funds<and make them pay back!> in a similar way as John Edwards did! So who is doing the finger pointing here and why is he suddenly the pariah comparatively speaking? I mean he might be a DOG but he isn't any worse than many others, don't you think

1 個解答Higher Education (University +)1 十年前Reconciling Religion and Science possible?
Renowned Scientist, Henry Eyring has said:
"I have been announced as a student of science. But I also like to think of myself as one who loves the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For me there has been no serious difficulty in reconciling the principles of true science with the principles of true religion, for both are concerned with the eternal verities of the Universe. . . .
..... to those who find themselves troubled by an inner conflict between the traditional teachings of the Christian faith on the one hand, and on the other the challenge of modern education to explore, to dissect and to test in the cold light of fact and demonstrated proof. I believe that many of our young people have impoverished their lives by a thoughtless denial of all aspects of the faith of their fathers in their desire to be what they call scientific and objective.
Now I am also of the opinion that some theologians have unwittingly assisted in this rebellion by taking positions so dogmatic as to stifle the honest and thoughtful inquiries of youth when they needed help and sought it. . . .
Apparent contradictions between religion and science often have been the basis of bitter controversy. Such differences are to be expected as long as human understanding remains provisional and fragmentary. Only as one’s understanding approaches the Divine will all seeming contradictions disappear. Such complete understanding is to be approached as a part of the eternal progress which will continue in the life to come. In the meantime, we can only continue our quest for the balanced view that comes from weighing all evidence carefully in the search for enduring values. The road is a long one, but the outcome is assured if we are willing to travel it. . . .
Some have asked me: “Is there any conflict between science and religion?” There is no conflict in the mind of God, but often there is conflict in the minds of men. "
I FIND THIS most remarkable, what do you think?
