Sweetie the cockatiel

She died in my hands yesterday :o(

I have had her 10 years and I will miss her alot.

Seeing her cage in the corner with her looking at me for cuddles will be upsetting.

My dad buried her near the conker tree :o( so I can see her very time I go outside.

What did you do when you lost a bird?

I have 84 budgies, 2 cockatiels, 2 love birds & 4 kakarikis.

My Kakariki had baby kakarikis before about three years ago and she did very will

Three years on she laid an egg Monday 18th August 2008 and 1 egg should have hatched Monday 8th September but hasn't yet.

I have 2 cockatiels and she keeps laying eggs they will sit on them but as soon as they hatch they pick on the small helpless things so I gave three eggs to kakariki to hatch and look after.

Should be hatching Wednesday 17th September

Then question is will she look after them? because they will look different to a cockatiel baby.

Peachy will not go in the nest, but he? will sit on the same pot of seed as moody and eat the same time now .

I hope it hatches. When?

Is it the same as looking after budgies & zebra finches babies?

Should i give lovebirds E.M.P like budgies & zebra finches?

Can i touch the babies/when?

It's my first time seeing a lovebird egg and it was scary

I re-homed a lovebird and his cage 16th August and got told by him that the lovebird IS a male (I renamed him moody).

I let Moody settle in his cage for a few days before I let him in with my other lovebird that I thought was a female (called Peachy) But now I think that Peachy is a boy. ????

When I put Moody with Peachy they had a fight but I separated them for another day and tried again, this time they were fine. Moody went in the nest-box and started to make a nest with the newspaper I put at the bottom of the cage he shredded it up and takes it in the nest-box it's full of it now just enough room for Moody to come out and go in but he still rips up the paper for the nest.

There's a round flat hole ready for the eggs.

Peachy isn't bothered about any of it

Moody is a girl because she has signs of laying an egg.

My questions is this :

How do I make Peachy take notice of Moody?

and

How do I make Moody stop taking any more paper in the nest-box

I have a lovebird and he/she is lonely. Lost his/her friend a while back.

I have the peach lovebird (Peachy) I don't know if he/she is a boy or a girl (anyone tell me from the pic? The one on the right.)

Have you got one or more that you want to re-home? I am willing to take your bird (s) off your hands. I live in Exeter U.K

I have got three new pet birds yesterday and I don't know what to call them any suggustions?

I have two cockatiels.

The female is a white face grey with white spots on the wings.

The male I think is a lutino? Well, he's yellow with orange cheeks

I also have a male Kakarki Dark green with a a couple of yellow feathers on the wings. He's a trouble maker. Always hurting himself.

I have zebra finches and they have eggs but I saw 5 eggs this morning, (2 in one nest and 3 in another) and the chicks made a hole in the eggs and tried to come out of the egg but I think the shell was to hard, they died in the shell.

Why is the shell too hard for them.

I give them cuttlefish and iodine blocks.

What else can I give them to stop preventing this next time?

WHY WHY WHY

The question is :

Does anyone in or around EXETER want to rehome THEIR lovebird (s)

I live in EXETER UK

A lady bought 3 chestnut flanked white finches and 2 normal zebra finches from me about a month ago, to live in her aviary and she never said she didnt want to breed them, but she rang me yesterday and said the two chestnut flanked white zebra finches are laying eggs, and she said she doesn't want them to breed. She said could she bring the two females back and get two males instead? She said she will pay for the next two.

Should I let her pay or not?

I have a lizard green canary which is a girl and a yellow with bits of brown/black on one of his wings and head which is the boy

I like LIZARD for the girl and NEWT for the boy?

I have been breeding Zebra Finches for 5 months and have a unusual baby finch 13 days old and she has some white fight feathers on the wings.

More white on oneside than the other.

She is a normal grey zebra finch, and has half a black beak and half pink, and a black/brown skin.

I know its NOT a Bengalese/Society because these have a pink skin.

She has no markings in the mouth either.

But what type is she?

Is she a pied normal?

I can't seem to find a photo on google like her

Can you help?

He is really bright aqua blue underneath & pale shiny yellow on top & dark blue patches on the cheeks

I want a really bright name for him.
