We hear much about RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) but NEVER a word about DINOs (Democrats In Name Only) or LINOs (Liberals). Why is that?
Is it because no such thing exists? If so, why is that? Does it point to an inherent hypocrisy?
5 個解答Politics2 月前Biden securing a new START treaty w/Putin even while excoriating him on hacking/Novalny/etc a display of strength Trump was incapable of?
"Sleepy" Joe stuck it to Vlad on Solarwinds, poisoning/jailing of Alexi Novalny, election interference, and more - and yet helped protect us from Nuclear annihilation (with further talks scheduled). All things Trump could not or would not do while buddying up to Putin? Is he using our allies to bolster our strength in a way 45 refused to do in the NAME of America 1st?

... picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you." - President Lyndon Johnson. Sounds just like what Trump's done for the last 5 years, no?

There is a theory that if they win he will be the only Republican that lost in Georgia & that he cannot abide. What do you think? Did his shenanigans hurt their chances? All so he wouldn't look so bad?
2 個解答Politics4 月前If Republicans had won a majority in the House in November, w/the 1 vote majority in the Senate, what would have happened Wed 1/6/21?
Would we be living in a Trump dictatorship with the end of our democratic republic on Thursday?

Henry “Enrique” Tarrio, 36, was arrested by Metropolitan Police Department officers. How Proud are they now?
1 個解答Politics4 月前What did Trump gain by waiting 6 days to sign the Covid Relief bill Congress labored over for 6 months?
Did he help other Republicans?
Did he help the Senators trying to save their seats in Georgia?
Did he help millions desperate for food & shelter?
It what way did he even help himself?
Or was it just childish petulance, empty grandstanding? Punishing Reps for not overturning the election?
What was the point???
7 個解答Politics4 月前Donald Trump wants an airport named for him. Or a U.S.S. Trump aircraft carrier. Do you think those are good ideas?
Only if you hope all the planes will crash.
Or the ship will immediately sink.
He does have that effect on everything...
12 個解答Politics4 月前Trump tweets cyber attack May Have Been China.(Anything's possible - it may have been little green men from Mars). Is he correct?
After saying nothing all week today he says "Russia Russia Russia... Lamestream is, for mostly financial reasons, petrified of discussing the possibility that it may be China (it may)".
This after not only government intel services but tech companies all say Russia. Even Pompeo says it's Russia.
What do they have on him anyway to make him lie all the time?
2 個解答Politics4 月前Herd Immunity was the de facto 45 Admin Covid policy. Was a collateral benefit (or even a goal) to kill off unproductive sick/old people?
It certainly appeared that producing death was just collateral damage to Herd Immunity to preserve the fabled economy that would get him reelected.
There were even those who said publicly that losing some people was no big loss (TX Lt Gov Dan Patrick said "As a senior citizen, are you willing to take a chance on your survival" to save the economy? "I’m all in" he said).
So who cares if a bunch of old geezers (mostly in Blue cities & states who wouldn't vote Republican anyway)?
3 個解答Politics4 月前Is it Fair & Right for Trump's buddies to get medical treatments not available to all?
A solid case can be made that the president, as the nation's "leader", should get the best medical care possible.
But Ben Carson? Chris Christie? And now Rudy Giuliani? If so, why not Herman Cain? He was a supporter, too. Instead, he died.
This sort of favoritism is what dictators do. Is it right? Is it fair?
Here's an article pointing out hospitals around the country are providing these therapies by lottery:
5 個解答Politics5 月前Is Texas Atty General Ken Paxton's attempted end-run around the will of the voters to overturn the election for Trump going to work?
He has filed suit asking SCOTUS to invalidate the certified results in GA, MI, PA, & WI to throw it into the U.S. House which would seem to guarantee a win for 45.
Problem is Paxton was already indicted a while ago for alleged abuse of office & now he's in trouble again w/senior staffers claiming he accepted bribes from an Austin real estate magnate (see below).
Is this more corruption seeking help from corruption? (Paxton needs help from Trump/Barr & they need his help to stay in office). Will new SCOTUS justices "stay loyal" to Trump or the Law & Constitution?
11 個解答Politics5 月前A few months ago posts here were pushing U.S. to follow the Swedish model of Covid. Herd immunity/no masks/etc. Anybody still think so?
In other words, the Trump Administration's agenda (Covid's not a serious problem/hoax/scoffing at masks/no lockdowns/it will soon just disappear).
Since then Sweden has logged over 6K deaths, more than 4 times its Nordic neighbors (Norway, Finland & Denmark). Clearly the wrong approach...
Anybody disagree? It's not just old, unproductive folks, either. While the majority are elders or w/underlying health problems, many younger & formerly healthy (& w/type O blood) have died or have extended issues. Was Trump not only lying to us, but WRONG?

1 個解答Politics5 月前What are your thoughts on Million Mega crowd size? Is Trump ending his presidency the same way it started - Lying about crowd size?
Kayleigh McEnanyclaimed in a tweet "More than one MILLION marchers for President @realDonaldTrump descend on the swamp in support." WaPo estimated it at a few thousand, a GENEROUS estiamte was 50,000 = only 5% of a million, meaning 95% stayed home.
An over-estimate similar to what Sean Spicer claimed in 2018 for the inauguration:
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/...
Contrast that with estimated 440,000 to 500,000 women who showed up (in pink pussie hats, no less) to protest Trump the day after his inauguration (1/21/17):

Why is lying/cheating/stealing/corruption not only ignored but endorsed?
Have we lost our minds? Have we lost our souls? What ever happened to decency?
