Is every part of the Quran written in first person from Allah? How does that work? Was the voice of Allah heard all at once, or over a period of time? Was there just one person who heard it or many? Was it written down at the time, or much later? It is possible that someone could have altered or added some small passage to it?

I'm looking for the right word... in this case the subject is an item that is chosen for examination, and not a person. "Item being examined" and "Item being inspected" are both too clumsy.

Catholics, Jehovah's Witnesses, Methodists, Lutherans, Evangelicals, Baptists, Seventh Day Adventists - Do you support your widows financially? Do you take care of all their needs? This is, after all, pure religion. If today was judgement day, how would you fare?

Do they change their doctrines when they discover them to be false, or is it too embarrassing for them to admit such a thing? I don't mean this to be as disrespectful as it sounds. It is a fine church, and the members are sincere. Unless one believes that God has already revealed all knowledge to mankind, then it is logical to assume that he will yet correct us and teach us more. Do they currently receive revelations from God, and have they recently changed any of their doctrines or added new ones? Certainly with the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, there is the opportunity to correct false doctrines that have been added over the intervening centuries... or at the very least update the translation of the Bible...

A friend is getting tired of answering his cell phone every day only to hear an ad for Romney. Apparently these ads aren't illegal in Texas. He likes Romney, but the harassment is making him rethink his vote.
