How long till check engine comes back?
I have a 2009 Hyundai Sonata and recently got that check engine code P0741 which is "Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid stuck off." The car is driving with no issue at all, it shifts fine. All of the transmission repair shops insisted that I need to get my transmission fixed, some said it has to be rebuild.. Anyways, since last time that device was connected to the car computer, and the light was reset (it always reset itself when someone connects the device to it!!) I was driving since then for about 120 miles and the light haven t came back (yet)! will it come back? or since I have been driving that much and it is off, there is a chance it won t come back again and it was just the crazy computer?!

I am a new comer to USA, I am saving enough for retirement in 401K,roth ira..etc but my concern is that I am not able to estimate my social income to see the big picture. all online calculators don't put when I was first hired in its calculations!! They just ask me my desired retirement age as if it doesn't matter how many actual years me and my employer is contributing to my SS income!!
I was first hired 2 years ago (I was 35), and I can access my current SS balance and the estimated income based on that current balance can be seen in my account. But no idea how to see an estimated based on the current+future social income with regards to my hiring year or age or the total number of years with contributions.
Any idea?

I am not willing to give uncle a free loan, I believe it is better to invest the money through the year than paying extra taxes and get it back at the end of the year with zero interest. But the question is, since it is never going to be exactly $0.00 in tax refunds, no matter how I tried to adjust my W4, how much will be considered a reasonable amount, and how much is considered (too much)?
I am not willing, in the same time, to see that I owe the IRS any money when i file my taxes, so I would like to see a positive returns instead. But not that much to loose an investment opportunity.
how much do you think I should try to aim at, through adjusting the W4? Can you share your personal amount?

I understand that "The lower your credit utilization is, the better your score". But what if I am paying off my credit card completely every month? so, say I utilized 70% of my credit card this month, but I paid everything when the statement was issued, and carried 0 balance forward, will I still getting hit by negative points for utilizing 70% instead of say 10%?
It is just painful for me to open my credit card transaction online every 2 days to pay a $100 to keep my utilization low. would be better if I can use my credit card as normal and pay it once at the end of the month without hurting my score..

I was approve for a JCpenny credit card. I found out that it was a mistake and I don't really see any advantage from it.
I care for my credit history, and I have 2 other cards from banks with a limit of $8500 and I utilize only 5% of them each month and pay them off. So, utilization ratio won't be a problem if I closed the JCpenny specially its limit is only $700. The reason I want to close it, is because it is very recent one, and according to credit karma (I know CK is just an estimated) it was that card which pulled down my (Avg years I have a credit history). Will closing it will increase the (Avg years I have a credit history) then?

I was looking at opening a Vanguard account. They mostly have minimum opening balance of $3,000. So lets say I open an account and put in $3,000 in. After I open up the account do I always have to have $3,000 in there or will I be able to take it out after I open it. If I can't what would happen if I needed the money?
How about if I first bought some ETF's shares and then tried to get back the rest of the balance? or let's say bought a $1000 mutual fund (target retirement) and get back $2000?
Can I do that?
