About 6 years ago my husband and I got sucked into a sub-prime mortgage. We didn't know until it was time to sign the loan that our property taxes would no longer be escrowed. So, to pay our property taxes we have always relied on our federal tax return in the winter.

Our tax refund in the winter of 2007 wasn't enough to cover the 2006 bill. So we figured we would just have to save on our own. Well that didn't happen.

Our 2007 tax bill came and went. We now owed two years and had no idea where we would come up with the money.

We tried to refinance our home, but no luck. I'm self employed and show very little income so there wasn't enough income on paper for the re-fi. So now apparently our house has gone to tax sale. I have to contact the lawyer that handled the sale to get a 'release' and then pay the taxes. The number for the lawyer is a recording and no one returns the calls.

Does anyone out there know what will happen and how I should go about saving my house?

My son has to answer this question for homework and we're not having any luck finding out WHY. Thanks so much!!

I thought it was on abc so I checked out abc.com and found nothing there. I would love to see this show come back at least for a conclusion.

I can get on Yahoo. That's my homepage, but then I can't get anywhere else. When I put in a web address it just keeps searching and searching. Anyone have a clue what my problem might be? I'm not a computer person by the way. :)

My family does a gift exchange at Christmas. My cousin pulled my name. On Christmas she tells me that she forgot to bring it and she'll mail it. It's now the end of February. How do I nicely bring it up that she still hasn't sent it.
