  • Good place to view Perseid meteor shower this weekend - Metro St. Louis?

    I live just east of St. Louis on the IL side, and I was wanting to find a place that I can drive to stargaze and view the Perseid meteor shower with my girlfriend this weekend. My plan is to drive out somewhere that I can just park and layout a blanket while we lay, hold hands, watch, and whisper sweet nothings to each other. A bed and breakfast would work, also. Willing to drive up to an hour. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks!
