I am an ASE Master Tech, Toyota Master Diagnostic Tech, and I have over 30 years in the business, with about 15 in Toyota. I almost never answer a question until I am virtually positive of the answer, even if the asker doesn't like what I said! That's all true, and what I do, but not who I am. I live my life to serve Jesus Christ. I enjoy Yahoo answers because it allows me to serve others with virtually no chance of reciprocation, one of the ideas that Jesus taught. If I invite you to email me, I will do my best to reply within a reasonable time period, and give you the best answer I can find. I love Toyotas and think they are the finest cars in the world, but no cars are without problems. I will be very painstaking for any honest question, but I grow very impatient with prejudiced smart-alecs or people who give answers without benefit of the facts. If I can help you, please let me know. God Bless.
Any professional Nissan Techs available? 96 Quest with a 60mA parasitic draw on SEC fuse circuit?
When the 7.5A SEC fuse is removed the draw drops to 10mA, so the former reading sounds excessive. But, of course, if that fuse is out the power windows, door locks, dome lights, etc, quit working. The battery does run down, but is this draw considered normal? If not, have you run into this before, and what usually is the problem? Alldata shows that all these functions go through the same control unit, so it looks difficult if not impossible to separate them.
Any help would be appreciated. I'll trade Toyota help for Nissan help!!
