Is there a website where someone can ask a question and actually get fact based answers instead of everyone's (usually foolish) opinions?
Because this forum doesn't work. Whenever I ask a question that should have one fact based answer I generally get a slew of dopey opinions. Giving details you think would help to narrow answers but that ends up giving people more things to post their unbased opinions on. If you ask for only legitimate answers than people take great offense for some reason and go straight to insults. So is there such a forum or is humanity really this thick-headed as a whole?
I know others out there know what I'm talking about.
Now I'm kinda wondering how many stupid "answers" I'll get to this question.
3 個解答Polls & Surveys4 年前M-16 and variants direct impingement compared to M-16 and variants direct piston system in extreme cold weather.?
I have an M-4 converted to direct piston. When I was an infantryman at Drum, I recall my M-16 locking up in ECW conditions. I learned to not use oil or very little Arctic oil but it would still lock up. This happened to all of us. We didn't take our weapons in and out of the cold (as we were light infantry and didn't have a warm area anyway). We learned that we had to fire our first two rounds at one-minute intervals and by the third round we would be good to go. Otherwise the heat from the discharges would expand the bolt and carrier too fast and lock-up inside the still constricted from the cold upper receiver.
Will the piston system alleviate this problem?
5 個解答Military4 年前Why don't people capitalize God's name?
I've seen many times either in articles, captions or almost anywhere, where people capitalize one name but in the same sentence won't capitalize God's name. Ex: Little Benny said his prayers to god.
God is a proper noun so whether you're religious or not His name should be capitalized. Is it meant purely to show disrespect as I would when speaking of the New York mets? (I'm a Phillies fan and loathe the mets)
So is it not done to show hatred, ignorance of grammar, or mere laziness?
To add: My old iPhone used to also not auto-cap His name even though it would auto-cap other versions of His name like "Allah, Yahweh, etc."

I've asked this question before but people want to tell me something they obviously know nothing about or revert me to the 1780 law. I've looked this up already but keep getting the 1780 law. The 1780 law gradually emancipated Pennsylvanian slaves but did not officially end slavery. I know for a fact that happened through the Pennsylvanian legislature sometime during the civil war. Again, the question is NOT when did Pennsylvanian slaves cease to exist, it is when did the PA legislature make slavery illegal?
3 個解答Law & Ethics6 年前In what year did slavery become illegal in Pennsylvania?
Every time I try to google this question I keep frustratingly getting the gradual emancipation law of 1780! The 1780 law did not make slavery illegal in Pa, it gradually freed Pa slaves until there were no more.
I know it was 1860 something.
2 個解答Law & Ethics6 年前Constitutional question on the amendment process.?
In Article V of the Constitution it says "The Congress, whenever two thirds shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which in either case..."
What it doesn't clarify is that when conventions are called for proposing amendments, is it needed for two thirds of those conventions to pass a proposal or just a majority? Even though I believe this process has never been used, which would it be? Thanks all!
1 個解答Civic Participation6 年前In Latin, I understand the suffix "que" means "and." My question is what does the suffix "que" mean when there is only one word?
Specifically the word "Montesque". Montes is plural for mountains so does maybe the que mean "all mountains; mountain range; the mountains?"

Such as in New York during summer at 6:00 a.m. In military time is it written as 0600R or 0600Q?
In other words does the map of Quebec time zone move from the western Atlantic Ocean to the east coast of the U.S. during summer when daylight savings time is in effect or is Romeo time during summer only offset by -0400? So I guess what I'm asking is do the maps of the differnt zones shift or does the time offset in the zones shift?

of the United States Constitution. Besides D.C. v. Heller (2008) and McDonald v. Chicago, does anyone else know of any other USSC opinions on either subject? Does anyone know if these two amendments have ever been related before in any federal court opinion? Also, since this is a natural rights question, what do any of you think about our gun rights? (Please only answer based on logic and law, no emotional based answers, thanks)

I have the sling attached to my Beretta Cx4 and adjusted for strong side patrol carry. How do you turn it into and use it as a shooting sling? I assume it has something to do with the button snap. Help please.
