There doesn't seem to be any info on this in the help section, unless I overlooked it.

I need to convert the image to black-and-white because our company policy at work is to use black-and-white whenever possible to save money. This is a report that is printed out several times a day.

Please, if you don't mind, no canned answers like "ask your IT department" because they are in another building and know very little about Access (few people besides me even use the program).

Just wondering because this happened at a friend's workplace.

I was driving through Pennsylvania on I-80 last night, all the way from the New Jersey state line to the Ohio state line, and never encountered one single cop. The speed limit is 65, and I will simply say that for the most part I was going about 7 to 10 miles over whatever was posted (except in the construction), and I was one of the slowest drivers on the road...

My former supervisor (I switched departments at my workplace) recently mentioned something about not being allowed to eat cherries before noon because he is Catholic.

I was wondering what the concept behind this was, as I am not Catholic myself.

A female friend (no I'm not dating her) was unable to attend her senior prom five years ago. Her younger sister broke an old family heirloom vase, and she got blamed (and grounded) for it. Her sister confessed to breaking the vase later that year, but well after prom (and even graduation for that matter).

With prom season here, we have noticed that she is still having some issues with having missed her own, especially for something she didn't even do. She even holds a slight grudge with her parents, who feel incredibly guilty and have even donated to our "cause"

We're looking for some suggestions on how to "re-create" one for her. It's probably not going to be for more than about 20 people at most, but we'd like her to have a taste of what she feels she missed out on. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

And please refrain from rude comments like "tell her to get over it", etc.

I'm curious to get other perspectives on the matter...

Apartheid - tens of millions of people oppressed for 46 years, treated as second class citizens, imprisoned and even executed without trials in some cases.

Holocaust - Roughly six million killed, millions more oppressed and forced to live in extremely inhumane conditions.

Inquisition - anybody who wasn't of a certain religious persuasion (usually Christianity) was tortured and killed - unknown death toll but probably in the millions.

Your feedback is appreciated - please be as detailed as possible in your reason why you believe one or the other was the worst of the three.

Scientology and Islam seem to be the two religions that are gaining the most notoreity and members in the world these days. If it comes down to one or the other in a final holy war, who do you think would win?

Hypothetically, if someone smoked one joint two years ago, and is now in a situation where they will be applying for other employment (having had no other drugs since then) - does it still pose a problem to passing drug tests?

I'm about to graduate from film school, and I'm reloacting to Southern California in a few months to pursue work.

I want to be reasonably close to the studios, as L.A. traffic is (I'm told) a nightmare, but I also want to be in a good neighborhood, where I can be reasonably safe, but not be eaten alive by the rent. I am likely bringing 3 other people with me, so as long as rent in a particular area is in the neighborhood of 1,600/month or less (400 each) that is doable.

I was wondering if there was a way to set up a page to refresh every so often by typing something additional into the address bar.

I need to know how to post addresses into Google Earth for a project I'm assigned to at work. We just changed some addresses, and have to get the new addresses of each of the buildings posted correctly into the web.

First they sent this "personality test" in the mail, which didn't say it was from Scientology.

Then they started calling and e-mailing.

Yesterday, someone came to the door.

Look, I have nothing against Scientology, but I'm a Unitarian Universalist, and happy where I am. How do I get them to leave me alone? Or will they just keep pestering me forever?

It bothers me horrendously. As a current university student, I find myself a target of it every now and then.

Whenever someone does it, I simply turn around and tell them to get their feet off my chair. One guy got mad at me once.

I have been curious, because I have heard that E-85 is better for the environment (it's also about 40¢ cheaper in my area), but I have also heard that it is not for every car, and only some cars can use it.

I currently drive a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier. Is my car a candidate for E-85?

I heard somewhere that 70% of American adults now wear corrective lenses. Of those, it is about 50/50 between glasses and contacts, though younger people are more likely to wear contacts and older people are more likely to wear glasses.

They come off as being free, but then you have to become a paid member to do certain things.

Then when you do become a paid member, you find out that the people there either (1) are snobs and won't reply, (2) reply, but come on so strong they seem intimidating, or (3) try to change everything about you.

I know this is a REALLY weird question, but I've always wondered what the difference is. I know writing something important on one's hand is a way of remembering things. But I notice some people use the palm, and others use the back of their hand. Is it just a personal preference, or is there an advantage to one or the other...

One trend I have particularly noticed, is that older people (say 25 and up) usually use the palm, while people under 25 usually use the back. Is it maybe a "generational" thing?

You know, the one who pretends to be a 20-something hottie, and always has friends like "Candy A**", "Hot Lips", etc. Then when you accept her as your friend you are spammed mercilessly.

Any way to block whatever company this is from making friend requests?

I may need to know this for a film project.
