I have a birthday party tonight at a nice-ish hall, dress code is "smart with a touch of pink"... weather's a bit too hot for a full-out suit, so maybe a shirt + pants would suffice. I'm in my early 20s.

I absolutely hate wearing pink, but I have to in this case - any suggestions as to what I can wear? Something subtle, maybe, that will still make me look good? Thanks!

Sometimes the best remedy for a broken heart, when you can't be with the girl of your dreams, is not to stay as far away from her as possible.. but to become a good friend of hers, and to help her find the boy of her dreams. To make sure she doesn't end up with someone who doesn't deserve her, and to make sure she's as happy as possible =) It can be painful at the beginning, but it gives you a good feeling =)

I know you've probably all answered a lot of similar questions, but I really don't feel like searching through other questions, and probably writing this down will help me feel a bit better.

Imagine a weird, lonely type of guy who saw and got to know about a girl when he was 15/16. And he always put this girl at the back of his mind because she was perfect for him, but she was in a relationship with someone else, and he couldn't get to her anyway.

Fast forward to when he's 20, he's met her and she's even better than he thought before. She's perfect for him. He can't imagine being with someone else,and he has tried doing, and failed. She's also single. She starts hanging out a lot with him, opening her heart to him, making him happy, saying that she really enjoys spending time with him, and that they've clicked together in a way she didn't really see coming.

One problem. She's still in love with an ex-boyfriend who made her who she is, and then hurt her by not giving her the love and respect that she deserved, leading her to leave him. And love is a strange thing, it defies logic, so the guy understands her loving this ex-boyfriend. But he needs a way to get over this perfect girl.. He knows it's going to be painful and probably very very long.. but he needs to start somewhere. Thanks.

I'm usually a cheerful, happy go lucky guy, but this morning I woke up (ok .. I woke up at noon) feeling really empty and heavy-hearted, feel like slamming everything about. Could you suggest something to make me feel better? I don't usually ask this type of question, but I'm pretty desperate - need to study!

After having completed the B.Ed (Hons) in Primary teaching (at the University of Malta, if it makes any difference) and having English and Psychology at A Level.. what lines of study can one follow which are not connected to teaching? E.g. something related to Psychology, etc.. ?

I've been assigned a mechatronics project, where I had to complete an analysis of different type of force measurement sensor, e.g. strain gage load cells, piezoelectric methods etc .. but now I have to provide practical industrial examples, where the sensor could actually be used. Could you mention some examples please?

I'm currently having a series of nights, where I dream about a particular girl .. on whom I've had a subconscious crush for 5 years or so.. but anyway. The dreams aren't ABOUT her, but she makes appearances several times and makes me think of her when I wake up.. now this girl is way out of my league so thinking about her isn't going to help my situation.. any recourse on how to change my topic?

A girl, who's a recent friend of mine, shows that she likes me, but she's not my type and although I've tried everything to give her the hint that I'm not interested, like NOT flirting with her and using the word "friend" with her almost all the time, she still keeps up her interest. How do I show her I'm not interested without being cold?
