Debunking the lies of religion one liar at a time.
Atheists: Have you ever encountered a believer who is able to at least try to rationalise their position logically?
I don't expect you'd find many here given they think assertions are somehow facts in and of themselves.
Christians: Would you kill if your 'god' ordered you to?
Before you try the cop-out of "he wouldn't ask that," it wouldn't be different to some of the acts (albeit fictional) from your cult book.
Christians: What evidence do you need in order to admit that your religion isn't true?
It has to be falsifiable, right?
Why do many believers make claims as if they were facts when they can't back them up?
Pointing to your holy books is not evidence of the claims described within. I don't understand why you can't just admit you have no evidence and that it's just wishful thinking?
When believers claim that they 'know' their 'god' exists, why can't they actually demonstrate this?
Knowledge is demonstrable, after all.
Why do the religious seem to struggle to understand the difference between a fact and an assertion?
I hear many assertions about their 'god' and whatnot, but no actual facts. Every time I point out the difference, they get awfully defensive...
Are there any Christians who know the difference between an assertion and a fact?
I only ask because I haven't seen any Christian demonstrate this understanding. Asserting your 'god' is real doesn't make it true so why do you lie to people as if you do have evidence?
Christians: How do you live with your dishonesty?
I just can't understand how you can lie to yourself and others about your religious beliefs being "true" in any way, shape or form. Do you just keep telling yourself it's real until you believe it?
What else do you believe in the world that doesn't have evidence/logic to back it up?
Christians: How do you deal with your dishonesty?
Let's get this simple fact out of the way... when you make a factual claim about your 'god' thing and fail (as you all do) to prove it, you're lying. How do you go about life knowing that you're not only being dishonest to others, but to yourself? Do you not question your vast ignorance?
Why do the religious pretend to know things they clearly don't?
I get that you claim to "know" that your 'god' thing is real, etc. but that's all pretend. If you can't demonstrate that then why would any sane person believe you? Do you not recognise the sheer arrogance you portray when you lie like that?
Christians: Do you consider yourself a Christian or just a fan of this "Jesus" character?
I ask because you surely must abide by everything said in your cult book in order to be a Christian, right? If you just like the idea of the main character(s) then you're just a fan. Who gave you the right to pick and choose what parts of your book you should abide by?
Why do the religious fail to grasp the fact that words in a book don't equal truth without evidence?
I see it all the time, yet I'm always left bewildered at the lack of intellect these people show. Your claim that it's true because you believe it bears no relevance to whether or not it's actually true.
Christians: What evidence would you need in order for you to drop your so-called belief in this 'god' thing?
I'm curious to see how many of you have actually thought your position out compared to the vast amount who think assertion equals fact by definition.
Christians: Why do many of you struggle to understand the difference between an assertion and a fact?
You keep claiming that your cult is 'true' and that your 'god' thing is a fact, yet you can't seem to bridge the gap between assertion and fact.
Is it because you aren't educated or do you just think lying is going to magically make things true?
Atheists: What do you think contributes most to the mentality of most believers - stupidity, gullibility or ignorance?
Personally, I think it's a combination of all three but what are your thoughts based on the believers you encounter?
Is something true because it's written down in a book?
I have to ask, because Christians seem to claim this is how facts work. Funny how they don't apply the same "logic" to the other religions, eh? You'd almost think they were being dishonest...
Christians: Why don't you believe in any of the other 'gods' in other religions?
Did you just pick the Christian one because you were told he was the right one or did you use some kind of faulty logic to ascertain that you were correct? Do you even care if you're correct?
Christians: Why do a lot of you always link to biased websites when asked for evidence of your 'god' claims?
Surely you should know the evidence without needing to refer to websites, right? It's amusing how those sites don't actually have evidence, too... if they had evidence then they'd be world-famous. Don't any of you have a shred of honesty or are you just all happy to lie?
Christians: Why do you believe the claims in the Bible?
I'm not so much interested in what you believe, but why you believe it. Did you use logic, reason and evidence or did you just convince yourself that gullibility (i.e. "faith") was enough for you?
Christians: Why should anyone respect the idea of faith in your religion?
Faith is just believing in something because you want to - if you had evidence then faith wouldn't be required. Why would any sane, rational person believe the biggest question in the world on faith?
