If there is supposed to be a separation of church and state, why do church based marriages receive federal recognition and benefits? Wouldn't it be easier to just separate the two, let churches handle marriages and have legally recognized unions for benefits.

If we do that then the religious folk have nothing to gripe about with the word marriage, and the federal government gains untold money in fees and taxes. Do you think this could work?

I was with a friend during his visitations with his children in Indiana. About two months after his ex-wife stopped delivering them for visits she filed abuse charges against him.

I was with him the entire time and know this to be lies.

Can the police choose not to question me as a witness simply because I know him and they think I might lie in defense of him, or must they question me? If they have to question me what time limit do they have to do so?

It has been more than two months since he was arrested on this.

Receiving answers to a previous question, I was both told they don't apply by some, yet they do apply by others. If they do apply, explain why you pick and choose which ones you do use and why you purposely break others.

If you feel they don't apply, do you reference them to prove a point in debates and discusions? Why?

When arguing with many christians, they seem to be able to make quotes from Leviticus to back up an arguement, but ignore the passages directly surrounding it. How can they claim to follow just one verse and not the others and still say they are following all of God's laws?

We all know Mike and Carol, but what is the name of the girls father? The boys mother? Did they ever even get mentioned on the show?
