My daughters boyfriend was helping jump my car and when the jumper cables were being hooked up he hooked both the red and black on the dead cars terminals and it sparked and smoked a little. Now the battery wont pick up any juice from the good battery at all. Its mostly dead. However I don't know if there is a problem with the celinoid (sorry about spelling) or the starter. My first question is... did he kill my battery? I usually have problems in the cold weather where it will not start unless I put a product called HEAT into the tank. This time however, it wouldn't start at all though it tried till it was dead. When it finally died is when I asked for a jump. Now I have the other problem of it not holding any juice at all. What could this be from? Do I have a bad starter celinoid or a bad battery? Or something causing a snowball effect? Please help

What would I need to hook up to three computers, wired, and possibly also a wireless laptop. It would be great if all computers have the capabilities of using the same printer. I would also like to share files and info between the computers if possible.

I have :

Cable internet and phone package

RCA digital broadband residential voip modem box

Cable wire comes in from wall, hooks into a three way splitter that goes to the TV and to the RCA modem then the modem hooks to the phone and computer.

I have Linksys wireless G but it goes out all the time and setup was difficult. (The Linksys is a 6 year old model. Time for an upgrade)

I also have Windows XP on one computer and Windows Vista on the other two. I may be getting a replacement on one of the Vistas and making it a Windows 7. I will be doing gaming on these computers as well.

What is the best thing to get that is the most reliable and safe and..... the easiest set up as well if there is such a thing, lol.

If I need to give specs on anything, please let me know. Thanks in advance for your advice :)

To create smooth edges and renderings?

I was searching general 2009 summer forecasts (hoping for a normal summer soon). So far i am coming up with nothing that explains why it is so cold here lately. I remember as a child it being so hot by the time June arrived. Now it is the middle of July and its freezing in the mornings! I do not know what to believe, there are so many theories! La Nina? Global warming? Cold Fronts? Ice Age? .....Any opinions ?

I purchased the sims 3 game from the store so we have the physical disc. My daughter downloaded it before checking the specs on her computer, and it didnt work so we are now wanting to install it onto my computer. The problem is that it already registered under her computer and her email. Now when we go to re-download onto the second computer, it cannot be found anywhere on her account or the download manager. Her account is there and her email shows her game is registered, but it is not in the download manager and I cant find anything on the website in her account showing what to do.

It says on the guide that it must be installed to a second computer from the download manager. My question is...can i just install it onto the second computer from the actual disc instead of the download manager? It would make things so much simpler.

My daughter received a computer from the couple she babysits for as payment. It has XP on it. They are letting her borrow a vista upgrade disk of theirs. Is that legal? If not, is there a way she can make it legal? I dont want to see her get into any trouble over it. I recommended that she buy her own copy but she believes it should be ok. Please help?

Is the Sprint LG Lotus, LX 600 a CDMA Symbian OS-based "smart type" phone? I know it is not technically a smartphone and I know it IS a CDMA phone. Could it have get virus?

My Lotus is acting crazy and I am trying to find information on viruses. I do not even know at this point if it is a phone that can get viruses. Can a virus be the problem?

It shuts off then comes back on several times a day for no apparent reason while I am in the middle of texting, surfing web, looking at pics from the camera, pretty much anything I am doing. I had it on vibrate the other day during sunday meeting and recieved three texts, two vibrated and one rang. Now it keeps ringing even if it is on vibrate.

This morning I came home and it started playing music. I opened it and there were no applications running and it was not a song I had downloaded or even heard before. It would not even shut off, so I had to power off and back on. It constantly freezes up on pages and will not load internet pages properly and freezes on them as well.

HHEELLPP!!! I don't know what is going on? I am getting ready to take it in to be serviced, but I really hate to be without it for any length of time, so if I can fix the problem myself that would be so much better. Please, if anyone knows anything, Please help. Is there an antivirus for this cell phone and will it detect a virus and delete it?

I would like to do gaming. Second Life type needs or possibly even Crysis type graphics, not specifically those games, but the capabilities if possible with not too much cost involved. My computer is an HP desktop.

She has been to the vet recently and has no tooth decay and no problems with any health issues. Thorough checkup. She just has bad breath. She eats INNOVA Evo Small Bites plus I give her some veggies and fruits as supplemental. Are there any breath mints, sprays or additives for food or water that will actually work? Somone told me Wysong Dentatreats might help. Where do I get this or are there any other things that might help?

My backlight is out on my laptop. It was on and off again for a while. I have been told that it may need an inverter. Where is the cheapest place I can find that part? part # 354873-001

What could be the problem? I have heard maybe a part needs soldered. Then I heard it is a converter. Can this be an easy fix? It started by flickering off sometimes, but I could get it back on if I pushed the little button that turns off the computer when it is closed. Then that stopped working at all. Then I started using it with another monitor attatched. That worked fine until recently. Now it wont pick up the monitor anymore. The screen on the laptop still works great, but you cannot see it without a flashlight, lol. I want to fix this on my own if possible. It costs almost $100 just to have them look.

Have any of you used these? How do they compare? Which is best? I would like to journey to professional someday, will any of these help? And for now, Family, Friends, and Personal Professional-Looking photo editing is what I need.

I apologize that this is so long, but I really hope someone can help in some way. I made some serious misjudgments and have been suffering the consequences for a long time now. I really need help.

I was introduced to a man a few years ago and I could tell right away that there was no way in the world I wanted to be dating him. But he seemed so bewildered and lonly that I decided to try to be a friend to him and help him. He had very poor grammer and very little common sense (he told me he dropped out of the 8th grade), had greasy hair, wore dirty, stained, ripped clothes and stunk. (I am not picking on him, please do not think that). He lived in filthy conditions. His house was filthy and unsanitary. As example: clothes laying around, dishes, silverware and steak knives all over the house with mold growing on them, used q-tips on the counters in the kitchen and all over the bathroom floor, tub and sink, tons of dirt and muck on the wood floors, tools laying around...the list goes on. Well I felt sorry for him and thought he just needed a friend to help him get his life in order. So I simply told him that I was not interested in dating but that I would be happy to be his friend.

The very next day, I recieved several phone calls from him accusing me of cheating on him! You see, I had a male friend who I spent time with the day before, but that should not matter since I plainly told him that I was not interested in dating him and would only be friends with him. So I told him that and I stopped talking to him. Two weeks later he called and was sorry and wanted to be friends again. I reminded him that we would ONLY be friends, nothing more. He agreed to that. Then, the very next day, he did it again! So again, I stopped talking to him and decided that was just a little too freaky for me.

Three months later, I see him in the store parking lot. He sincerely apologises for his previous behaviour, makes small talk with me and finds out that I am working on my car. He offerd to help, and I really needed help so I stupidly accepted. For a while it seemed that things were going fine. He was being nice. We ended up being friends. But as the months went by, I noticed weird things. He would drive by the back of our apartment daily several times a day. I am niave so I thought that he always took that way to work and to friends houses or something. He was actually stalking us. He would want to be with us all the time, so I took that as being insecure and needing a good friend. So I helped him with various things. I bought him new clothes and shoes. I cleaned up his house. I cut his hair. We would rent a movie and get pizza and hang out. He showed me all of his various guns and arrowhead collection, baseball cards and such. I did some remodeling and painting in his house. We would take him shopping for food for his house at least once a week and spend time with him to be his friend and provide him with some conpanionship. I taught him how to do laundry and how to keep the house clean. I tried to teach him some grammer but it was hard for him to grasp easily. (Agian, I am not picking on him, I just need to make clear how he is both mentally and emotionally) He professed his love for me on several occaisions and I had to daily remind him that we were not dating and that we were only friends. He stated several times that he wanted to have a baby with me. I reminded him again and again that we were only friends. I started noticing that we would run into him at different places we went, stores, parks, gas stations... I thought it was coincidental, but he was again stalking us. (Clarifying, when I say "US" I mean me and my three little girls. I was freshly divorced and lived alone with my three girls.)

He started dropping in on us un announced all the time. Banging on the doors an d windows. He barged into our home once without knocking and started yelling at me saying I was hiding a man in my home and cheating on him and demanded to search the house. I told him that first of all, we were not dating and that second of all, I would not cheat on anyone I WAS with, so he had no right either way to barge into our home and scare my children and accuse me of anything.

Understand, this was ongoing, but it was not constant. He would have his moments and then he would apologize severly with tears and I would stupidly accept. I am a sap.
