In the recent past I'd simply open a mail form and enter the first few letters of the contact. I could alternately

use letters from their email or name and voila Yahoo would list several names with that letter group. I'd click on the correct address and Bob's your uncle! The email was correctly addressed.

Now that function either doesn't work at all or it shows me only a fraction of the contacts. Or it

seems to show me a bunch of emails NOT in my contact list. I think they might be from Facebook?

When that happened I promptly deleted my FB account!

Over time I've learned to properly edit my contact list with first and last names and

correctly typed email addresses.

Over time I've learned that Yahoo Mail can be a fickle master (mistress?)

Over time I've watched Yahoo Mail turn into a blunt instrument that makes things worse, not better.

Sigh...

If it is possible (and it looks like it is) how do I stop it?

Do I have to go through FB or Yahoo?
